recordings of the japanese squid Watasenia scintillans (Hotaru-Ika) bioluminescent skin.
In the abstraction of closeness biological machinery begin to reveal mysterious shapes and motions beyond the reach of our naked eyes: The skin of the bioluminescent Hotaru-Ika squid glows and pulsates like an alien landscape to the warped sound of synthesizers and a self-playing piano.
